Chambana Cranksgivign 2008: All are welcome, bikers/non-bikers alike!

First Annual Chambana Cranksgiving AlleyCat & After Party
Sunday, November 16
"for a good cause"

[see below for details]
BOUND TO BE LOTS O' FUN AND A GOOD BREAK!

Hey all,
Just a friendly reminder that the First Annual Chambana Cranksgiving will take place this Sunday, November 16. Cranksgiving is a combination alley cat/scavenger hunt where participants travel to local grocery stores/co-ops and purchase non-perishable food items to donate to Eastern Illinois Foodbank. Registration will begin at 12 noon, the scavenger hunt will start at 1 p.m., there will be games (trackstand! bike polo! shark! skid competition! sprint bracket!) and prizes after the hunt completes, and then the after-party featuring live music from World's First Flying Machine (and food! and beer [if you're 21]) will start at 6 p.m. All of this excitement will originate at the IMC(202 S. Broadway, Urbana). It will be a lot of fun and will support a good cause, so come on out. And invite your non-biking friends to the after-party, because if you didn't do the scavenger hunt, you can still get in for the low low price of five canned food items.

This does look awesome, Jane, but I'm feeling kind of creaky and I'm going to stay in and make soup. I hope others go.
