Bike Ride

"Bike Burnham's dream and Chicago's living history--the city's earliest parks, original boulevards and illustrious architecture."

Anyone interested in touring Chicago on two wheels? I'm signing up for the Boulevard Lakefront Tour on September 13, 2009 and am going to be doing the "Boulevard Tour" route, which is "a tribute to Chicago's famous architects and urban planners..." This route is 35 miles, but it's not a race, so the pace should be fairly leisurely. It's $30 to sign-up, which includes a t-shirt, a post-ride festival and picnic lunch, a ride guide who will point out places of interest along the way, a scavenger hunt, and live entertainment after the ride. Start time is between 7:30am and 8:30am, so I will probably head up on the Amtrak the evening before (most of the trains have bike racks onboard). There are also 15 mile, 27 mile, and 62 mile routes available for the same cost.
