U.S. Green Building Council Steering Committee Opportunity

Hi everyone,
I've been involved with the U.S. Green Building Council--Central Illinois Branch (part of the Chicago Chapter) for the last couple of years, and if you're interested in green building practices, sustainability, or simply being an environmentally responsible citizen, this is a great organization to become involved in. We have an excellent opportunity available for someone to serve as the branch's Green Schools Liaison (I currently hold the position, but am moving back to Florida next month), which involves attending a monthly meeting for about an hour at the Champaign Public Library and allows you to become involved to the extent you wish. It requires minimal time, yet is an excellent resume booster and presents itself as a great opportunity to make a lot of contacts with those employed with major architecture and planning firms in central Illinois and Chicagoland. If you think you might be interested in filling the seat, send me an e-mail at rachel.siegert [at] gmail.com.
