Great local opportunity to learn about technology & community development

Two public showcase events are coming up in mid-September to spread the word and update the community about the UC2B project.

Per the UC2B website: UC2B is an intergovernmental consortium of the University of Illinois and the cities of Urbana and Champaign dedicated to building and operating an open-access fiber-optic broadband network throughout the Champaign-Urbana area. (Learn more about UC2B: www.uc2b.net )

I encourage planners to attend one of the events to learn about the role of technology in communities and what local efforts are underway to implement broadband infrastructure.
