Free Parking
All good planners use alternative transportation, but when its really cold, we need to drive....so, The City of Champaign is giving out free parking meter keys for the next 3 Fridays. They normally cost $17.50 and then you have to add money to them, but the downtown businesses are doing a promotion so the key is free with $20 in pre-paid meters. And it will be helpful now that you have to pay downtown meters until 9pm.

I got one of these... it works for all parking lots in the area but you have to add money separately for urbana, champaign, and university meters...
Beware this device definitely induces demand for driving...
where does one go to pick one up?
