Law & Planning Textbook

UPpers-

I emailed Joseph Hooker about the law & planning required textbook to see if purchasing an older edition is acceptable for the class. I figured you'd all have a similar question, below is his response:

I would discourage that- there are a few different cases in there- it is mostly the same. I know the new books are pricey- I was disappointed when they said they had a new addition, and the DURP secretary said they did not know for sure if they would have enough of the old ones for our class numbers, so we went ahead with the new edition. The new edition also has a couple of important new cases.

If its going to break the bank, you could probably figure out a way to take a look at the several different cases in some other manner- for example, all of the cases are actually published in volumes that are available at the law school, and you may be able to share with a classmate for the few cases that are not in there, but just be aware of this issue.

Thanks Susy! Lets make our own textbook by photocopying cases.

i like maulik's idea - we could scan the new cases in and share that way
