If you haven't already discovered them, Adobe has a whole slew of video tutorials that cover some of the functionality of its applications. They're not bad when you want to take a break for a few minutes: plug in your headphones and zone out for 3-10 minutes watching someone that really knows their stuff.
If you're going to tackle InDesign, I'd recommend the one entitled "making selections". The impact of not grasping the difference between the Selection and Direct Selection tools tripped me up for longer than I care to admit...
