Greetings!
Just want to let everyone know about a show that the Surfabilly Freakout is presenting at the Cowboy Monkey this Saturday, April 17. After a couple of years trying to coordinate schedules, we are finally able to bring Daikaiju (Huntsville, AL) to Champaign! If you are not familiar with these guys, they put on an amazingly raucous instro show that is a total audio/visual experience. Every time I have seen them, they have left the audience completely stunned (in a good way).
With Daikiaju, we are welcoming another powerhouse band that are no strangers to Champaign and are considered one of the most talented, respected and raucous big surf guitar bands performing today. The Madeira, of Atomic Frolic and Surfy Murphy's Beach Riot fame, make their triumphant return to Champaign! Opening the night will be the wild electro-punk/rock & roll of Abstract Artimus from New York!
The event is called ‘The Attack of the Monster Reverb!!!’ Saturday, April 17th at the Cowboy Monkey…doors open at 9pm (beer garden/bar will be open earlier) and it is only $5 (thanks to our friends at Jack Daniel's, Exile on Main St., Indi-Go Gallery, Dean's Graphics, & WPGU FM).
